Trinkets and Toys.
It's December and the Festive season is in full flow, another Manic week in the Cas and Helen household's. This week I will be showing you how to glitter up some old toy cars and Helen will be using old bauble trinkets to create a beautiful festive wreath.

MUCKING AROUND WITH FESTIVE FILTERS
As I'm writing this blog i'm watching the Holiday one of my favourite Christmas movies with Jude Law and Cameron Diaz filmed in Shere and Godalming just down the road from me.
Whilst I'm rambling about films this week favourite TV advert is the John Lewis one with our national treasure Elton John growing up with all his hopes and dreams, Christmas should be all about those dreams.https://www.standard.co.uk/shopping/john-lewis-christmas-2018-advert-revealed-elton-john-takes-centre-stage-with-story-of-how-piano-gift-a3990421.htmlWe also took a look at YouTube channels with lots of different ideas on how to make a wreath from using garden traditional greenery upcycling baubles and even paper cones.
Inspired by the bauble one Helen shows you how to do it with her box of old Christmas trinkets.
Favourite weekly Christmas advertJohn Lewis Christmas ad tells story of Sir Elton John's first pianoJohn Lewis has unveiled its anticipated festive advert about singer Sir Elton John and how his life changed when he was given a piano for Christmas. The Boy & The Piano was launched today by the high street retailer, which recently rebranded to John Lewis & Partners.

Helens Christmas trinket box.
Using an old coat hanger she formed the wire around a paint tin to make the circle shape, things you will need. Wire cutters, hammer round former (paint pot) old baubles.

String the baubles randomly onto wire.

Add some more finishing touches and there we have a beautiful upcyled wreath.

Toy cars and glitter
I've been playing with the glitter and old toy cars the end result can be seen in our online shop and will also be available at Denbies Wine Estate next Monday.

What you will need. Glitter old cars brush mod podge glue plate and a tray.

collection of old toy cars.

First paint cars with mod podge use plenty.

choose some fun cars this week the ice cream van was destined to be covered in purple glitter. When the glue is tacky sprinkle the glitter, this is a bit messy but lots of fun.

I Add a tree to your design I got these in Hobby Craft. You can use these in baubles or make a Christmas display or just put them back in the boys bedroom to add a Christmas theme. So I hope you like ourcraft ideas.
Festive iconic window of the week
As we played with glitter and festive decorations and drank lots of coffee again, we decided that our favourite iconic window of the week was Hamley's it had to be with our toy car theme.

The oldest toy shop in the world kicked off the festive season by unveiling its anticipated Christmas window display. Described by the Hamleys team as "something to remember", the Yuletide scene is sure to be a hit with children as they gather around the iconic Regent Street store, That's all from us this week we hope you have enjoyed the blog Take a look at our shop for some great gift ideas or come and see us at Denbies Wine Estate on Monday 10th Dec from 5pm.
